Global Head of Enterprise Analytics - ChicagoThe Global Head of Enterprise Analytics will lead the vision, strategy, and execution for enterprise data warehouse strategy to further build on goals of being a data-driven global enterprise. The position is responsible for articulating strategic opportunities for data analytics, for developing and delivering the roadmap to use cases from science to marketing, for developing resources and upskilling the businesses, and for driving the data strategy across Aon’s global ecosystem.Aon is in the business of better decisionsAt Aon, we shape decisions for the better to protect and enrich the lives of people around the world.As an organization, we are united through trust as one inclusive, diverse team, and we are passionate about helping our colleagues and clients succeed.What the day will look likeResponsible for owning and developing the enterprise data warehouse vision, strategy, and execution for global enterprise analytics, ensuring scalability of systems, processes and talent.Creation and management of a global coordinated analytics roadmap.Lead a global team of data engineers, data analysts and data scientists who are responsible for enterprise analytics and providing tools, data and expertise to functional business analytics teams across regions and solutions-lines.Work across technology, platform, product, and business functions to see opportunities to leverage broad range of data assets, incorporate data strategy with product strategy.Run data warehouse insights and analytics, including enterprise dashboards and support the creation of functional dashboards in partnership with business functions.Supervise various current and potential visualization tools using Aon technology wherever appropriate.Be responsible for global data governance and data integrity protocols and procedures.Lead machine learning and artificial intelligence initiatives.Drive, mentor, and motivate the organization to focus on continuous operational excellence, enterprise analytics architecture evolution, improved solution design practices, and high-value technology selection decisions with transparency to business leaders and alignment with enterprise architecture.Build an internal and external brand for the organization aimed at talent acquisition and retention in a highly driven market.Skills and experience that will lead to successBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Applied Mathematics or a related field.Minimum of 15 years working in data pipelines, data warehouse, data analytics, data science, machine learning, artificial intelligence (AI), or related fields.Outstanding business acumen with an understanding of business drivers and of how to drive value to the customer.Minimum of 10 years working with a broad range of business intelligence (BI) tools.Minimum of 10 years working with customer data in a retail or quick service restaurant environment.Shown leadership building data analytics, data science and data engineering capabilities.Consistent track record of coaching/mentoring individual contributors into more senior roles.Ability to translate business needs to analytic requirements and interpret the results of complex data analysis and communicate them to broad audiences.What will make you stand out?Experience working for/with business to consumer (B2C) technology companies.Knowledge and practical application of sophisticated statistical analysis and mathematical modeling concepts and principles.Advanced degrees in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Applied Mathematics or a related field.Experience in driving and leading data governance practices.Understanding of modern capabilities and utilization of data, AI and MLHow we support our colleaguesIn addition to our comprehensive benefits package, we encourage a diverse workforce.
