As an IT Asset Manager, you will be responsible for the efficient and effective management of our organization's technology assets. Your primary goal will be to optimize the utilization, cost, and performance of IT assets throughout their lifecycle, while ensuring compliance with relevant policies and regulations. This role requires a strong understanding of IT infrastructure, procurement processes, and excellent communication skills. Join our team as an IT Asset Manager and contribute to the optimization and management of our technology assets. Your expertise and attention to detail will be crucial in ensuring the smooth operation and cost-effectiveness of our IT infrastructure.** Due to the nature of this position, there is a requirement to be present in our Columbia, MD headquarters 4 days a week. Applicants must be within commutable distance to our office. ** Your Opportunity:Asset Inventory ManagementResponsible for maintaining a comprehensive inventory of all technology assets, including hardware, and related equipment in US and CanadaOversight of inventory for all technology assets globallyMaintain and ensure asset management processes are global in nature and ensure global complianceConduct regular audits to ensure accuracy of asset records, including tracking asset locations, recovery of assets and ownership details.Update asset database and asset management tools to reflect changes and additionsAsset Lifecycle ManagementPlan and implement asset lifecycle strategies, including acquisition, deployment, maintenance, recovery and retirementCollaborate with relevant stakeholders to define asset requirements and specificationsEnsure proper asset utilization and disposal in compliance with organizational policies and legal requirementsAsset Tracking and ReportingGenerate and analyze reports on asset utilization, availability, and performanceProvide regular updates to management and stakeholders on asset-related metrics and key performance indicatorsIdentify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement and present recommendations What You’ll Need:Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, or a related field. Relevant certifications (e.g., ITIL, CMDB) are a plus.5 Years proven experience as an IT Asset Manager or in a similar role.Significant in-office presence (Columbia, MD HQ) is a must for this positionIn-depth knowledge of IT asset management principles, best practices, and industry standardsFamiliarity with IT infrastructure components, including hardware, networks, and data centersProficiency in using asset management tools and systems. - ServiceNow and or Freshworks are desirable.   Proficient also in using Google Sheets and/or ExcelExcellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with keen attention to detailEffective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and interact with stakeholders at all levelsIf you’ve reached this point, and you’re still not sure if you should apply…..Just do it! Compensation for the role will depend on a number of factors, including the candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies, location and experience, and may fall outside of the range shown. Employees are also eligible for variable compensation in addition to base pay (commission for sales roles, bonus for non-sales roles), depending on company and individual performance.
