We are looking for a Data Engineer to join our team.
You will be responsible for design, development and expansion of data assets that support business intelligence, advanced analytics, and reporting. You will also develop, maintain, and support the enterprise data warehouse system, corresponding data marts, and data interfaces for use in reporting, analytics, and various applications. Deep experience building data management Data savviness and a keen understanding of data management life cycle is critical for this role. Crisp communication and the ability to influence decisions is also important. Program Management capabilities will be needed to successfully deliver in this role.
Responsibilities
Create and maintain optimal data pipeline architectureAssemble large, complex data sets that meet functional / non-functional business requirements.
Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements: automating manual processes, optimizing data delivery, re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability, etc.
Build the infrastructure required for optimal extraction, transformation, and loading of data from a wide variety of data sources into SnowflakBuild and maintain the data transformation layer for consumption by stakeholders.
Keep our data secure while building data products to derive business insights from the data.
Create data tools for analytics and data scientist team members that assist them in building and optimizing our product into an innovative industry leader.
Team Lead responsible for the quality and on-time delivery of the development milestones.
Responsible for coaching other junior members of the team on their deliveries.
Work with data and analytics experts to strive for greater functionality in our data systems.
Communication with internal team members and stakeholders in other time zones for requirements clarification and progress reporting.
Requirements
5 years of experience in software development
Advanced SQL knowledge and experience working with relational databases, query authoring (SQL), and familiarity with various databases.
Experience building and optimizing big data pipelines, architectures, and data sets.
Extracting data from various sources, such as databases, log files, and APIs.
Transforming data from its raw form into a structured format suitable for analysis.
Loading data into a data warehouse or other data store for use by analysts and data scientists.
Building and maintaining data pipelines using tools such as SQL, Python, etc.
Experience performing root cause analysis on internal and external data and processes to answer specific business questions and identify opportunities for improvement.
A successful history of manipulating, processing, and extracting value from large disconnected datasets.
Experience supporting and working with cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment.
Ensuring the quality and accuracy of data throughout the pipeline.
Optimizing data pipelines for performance and scalability.
Troubleshooting and debugging issues with data pipelines.
Documenting processes and workflows related to data engineering.
Experience with big data tools: Snowflake, Spark, etc.
Experience with data pipeline and workflow management tools: Azkaban, Luigi, Airflow, etc.
Experience with AWS cloud services: Aurora, Redshift.
Experience with stream-processing systems: Storm, Spark-Streaming, Kafka etc.

The annual base salary range is: $147,000-$221,000. Salary ranges are determined based on role, level and location. For positions open to candidates in multiple geographical locations, the base salary range is reflective of the labor market across the applicable locations. This role may be eligible for incentive pay and/or equity.
