An opportunity to join the Digital Health & Analytics (DH&A) team within Humana to build a world class analytics platform. Through the strategic interpretation of data, we provide our consumers-physicians, patients, and other members of the care team with meaningful insights about the choices they make and help them lead their best lives. As an informaticist at Humana you will contribute to meaningful projects, interact with other team members, be exposed to DH&A's business operations and work cross functionally with other departments.
Responsibilities
Sr Informaticist
Leverages advanced knowledge of data, modeling, optimization, and tools to generate data driven insights to improve members' health outcome
Understands and analyzes complex data and act as the data domain expert
Validate data from the source and work with upstream data team to have the data issues fixed
Apply understanding of clinical and financial metrics to various data sets to help in the creation and implementation of clinical solutions based on advanced analytics
Explore data need to support new clinical rules
As SME in informatics, coordinate with product management, IT and other business areas across the organization to support product development and adoption
Apply knowledge of analytics processes to drive efficiencies and effectiveness
Use informatics science to design or implement health information technology applications to resolve clinical or health care administrative problems
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree and 5 or more years of data analytics experience
Extensive experience and knowledge with health data especially medical claims data
Deep knowledge in data modeling and data mining
Strong technical skills in SQL and Python
Experience in working with clinical codes like ICD10, CPT, HCPCS, LOINC, etc.
Familiar with Health data exchange standards like FHIR, CCDA, HL7, etc.
Experience with data visualization tools like Power BI, Tableau etc.
Experience with using machine learning to develop predictive models
Excellent verbal and written communication
Good team player
Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences
Preferred Qualifications
Advanced Degree
Experience with Azure Databricks
Experience with clinical quality measure
