Title: Analyst – Web Analytics & Tagging Implementation
Reports to: Senior Web Analytics Manager
Location: New York, NY
The Web Analyst supports the J.Crew and J.Crew Factory e-commerce businesses by tracking and reporting out on customer engagement with the brand’s online presence. The analyst will work in conjunction with the rest of the Analytics team to build out dashboards, analyze data, and deliver insights – all with the goal of helping the business prioritize high ROI site enhancements, encourage customer interaction with site features, and ultimately improve website conversion.
The Analyst’s ability to deliver sound insights is contingent on clean on-site analytics tagging. Therefore, a key responsibility for this role will be to help write tagging schema and work with IT to vigorously QA the tagging implementation. The analytics team will rely on the Analyst to identify tagging issues that may be causing data inaccuracy or data loss and work to remedy these issues in a timely manner.
The Analyst should be adept at analyzing and synthesizing information – and also have a sharp eye for detail and nuance.
Specific Responsibilities Include:
*Support J.Crew and Factory online properties through analytics reporting *Ensure consistent tracking, analysis and reporting of core website KPIs in various weekly and monthly Dashboard formats (page views, clicks, conversion, etc.) *Act as an internal expert on Adobe Analytics (Omniture) capabilities and site tagging *Assist with QA effort of all tagging throughout the site *Implement/improve website tagging process *Assist with analysis and reporting on effectiveness of new site feature launches *Provide input to process for continual improvements based on analytics data *Prepare critical data for feedback to Merchant, Creative, Planning, and Marketing teams to inform their respective business practices *Support analysis and reporting on A/B testing efforts *Handle ad hoc data requests from numerous stakeholders *Troubleshoot issues with data cleanliness, data feeds, and other Adobe Analytics outputs
Qualifications:
*2+ years of experience with Adobe Analytics (Omniture) in an e-commerce environment *High level of comfort writing tagging schema (setting eVars, props, events, etc.) to answer key business questions about site features *Strong quantitative skills and demonstrated ability to apply logical thought process to problem solving *Ability to analyze, synthesize and distill large volumes of data down to key takeaways *Experience with Tableau or similar tool and ability to create data visualizations that clearly highlight patterns and insights *Highly adept with Excel and PowerPoint *Strong presentation and communication skills *Intellectually curious
