Description
The Senior Cloud Architect on the Humana Salesforce Center (HSC) guides and enables implementation teams with the technologies available in the Salesforce ecosystem. He/she leads the planning, design, and engineering of enterprise-level infrastructure and platforms related to cloud computing. The Senior Cloud Architect work assignments involve moderately complex to complex issues where the analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.
Responsibilities
The Senior Cloud Architect performs technical planning, architecture development and modification of specifications for cloud computing environments. Develops specifications for new IT cloud computing products and service offerings. Assesses the compatibility and integration of products/services proposed as standards in order to ensure an integrated architecture across interdependent technologies. Begins to influence department's strategy. Makes decisions on moderately complex to complex issues regarding technical approach for project components, and work is performed without direction. Exercises considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignments.
The Humana Salesforce Center (HSC) was established to ensure consistency in the Salesforce framework as Humana adopts new functionality to support existing and new users. This group's primary objective is business enablement while adhering to Humana security and architectural standards.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related technical field
5 or more years of technical experience
Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences
Experience in the areas of software development and support as well as system integrations
Understanding of system integration testing, load testing, user acceptance, test class coverage, testing, integrations and the Salesforce.com API
Comprehensive understanding of enterprise infrastructure and SDLC, OO principles and design patterns; ability to adjust and apply this knowledge in a dynamic environment using agile methodologies
Outstanding organizational, communication, interpersonal, relationship building skills conducive to collaboration; able to work well in a cross-functional, matrix management environment
Excellent analytical and problem solving skills with a history of hands-on, detail orientation
Ability to establish credibility and rapport with technical and non-technical team members alike
Ability to successfully collaborate with multiple technical functions in the areas of infrastructure, technical operations, software engineering and customer support.
Preferred Qualifications
Development experience using Eclipse, Apex, VisualForce, XML, HTML, SOQL, and SQL.
5 years of strong technical Salesforce experience
Database experience with Oracle, MS SQL Server, or DB2
Development experience using CSS and XSLT
Experience with SOAP/WSDL and REST APIs
Experience using Eclipse/ANT, TFS, Jenkins and iServer
Understanding of code tools such as Checkmarx
Experience with RWD frameworks (ie; HTML5, Bootstrap, Foundation)
Strong understanding of Heroku
Experience with Lightning Experience and/or Lightning Components
Salesforce.com Certifications
Marketing Cloud, Commerce Cloud, Mulesoft, Heroku, Copado, Tricentis Tosca and Genesys experience is a plus.
Working knowledge of Humana's Salesforce.com implementation of CRM Service.

The primary goal of this role is to ensure the customer's vision for deployment is successfully transitioned into the most appropriate solution design that maintains architectural integrity of existing applications and integrations. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Salesforce design principles in a shared environment. This person will work in close collaboration with a variety of potential and existing Salesforce users to articulate the value proposition of our consulting and training services, understand business needs and create solutions or suggestions. The candidate must ensure all available architectural options are considered prior to any recommendations. An excellent visionary, the candidate must have a good command of the most recent designs in production as well as the roadmap. This individual will map to a portfolio of initiatives and act as a subject matter expert to assist with the successful delivery of multiple customer engagements in parallel, with a high level of customer satisfaction.
This is an opportunity where he/she will establish themselves as a trusted advisor to our prospective customers, be an integral part of the reference generation process and have a direct impact on Humana Salesforce Center's customer success.
Collaborate with Architects and development teams across the enterprise
Initiate technical reviews of Salesforce quarterly releases, educate appropriate teams of impacts and testing strategies
Translate business objectives into execution strategy (tactical and strategic), lead and successfully communicate the strategy through strong collaboration and agile leadership
Anticipate and aggressively remove obstacles that slow down or prevent programs from delivering on program objectives. Drive for clarity to keep the team moving forward.
Develop strong partnerships with technology and functional leaders to drive focus on the strategic program objectives and optimize program delivery.
Monitor and resolve end-to-end process for things like: repeating pain points/sticking points, blockers. Build plans and mitigations to address pain points to ensure the success of the cloud and/or program.
Innovate and contribute to the evolution of our Humana Salesforce Center methodology and Salesforce Enterprise Governanance program.
Assist with initial review of Vision and Scope, Conceptual Architecture Diagrams and Order of Magnitute estimates for feasibility & considerations
Understand the Business Backlog.
Review requirements and advises Project and Program Managers on potential impacts and system considerations.
Adhere to Humana methodology and possesses the ability to assess risks in process, people, or technology and adjusts project plans to address accordingly.
Assist consultant team members in the delivery of client presentations during requirements, design, pilot and user acceptance testing sessions. Review deliverables prepared by the team before sharing with the client.
Provide mentoring, guidance and support to project team members.
Contribute to weekly monthly digests.
Support Corporate Salesforce org security, administration and DevOps as needed.
