SUMMARY

Global Asset Technologies, a subsidiary of Bering Straits Native Corporation is currently seeking a qualified Senior Systems Administrator for a contract at Ft. Meade.   The Senior Systems Administrator will manage and maintain the virtual and physical infrastructure along with the guest virtual machines running on the hosts.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

The Essential Duties and Responsibilities are intended to present a descriptive list of the range of duties performed for this position, and are

Experienced in modifying COTS/GOTS applications to fit the customer’s requirements.

Strong understanding and troubleshooting of physical and virtual servers.

Knowledge of Scripting, vSAN, NetApp, Backups, Tape Library and SQL is a plus

Purchase recommendations on server equipment and site surveys involved with server installation.

Attend work regularly to ensure all job duties are timely performed.

Perform other duties as assigned from time to time by management.

Provide Tier III Operational Support (troubleshooting)

QUALIFICATIONS - EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATION

Required (Minimum) Qualifications

Must have an Active Secret clearance.

Strong experience with Sites and Services AD, DNS, and DHCP

Strong experience in VMWare ESXi v6.7/vCenter, Microsoft Servers, and RDSP Platform

Strong Experience with GPOs

Strong experience with implementing configuration baselines and DoD STIGs

Strong experience with vulnerability mitigation and patching

Bachelor’s Degree 

or a combination of technical training, certifications, and experience

MSCS or other systems related certifications or specialty experience

5 Years of experience

Storage or VMWare Certification

Security CE (or appropriate DoDM 8570 Baseline Certification)

IAT Level II certification is required before start

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Ability to organize and facilitate planning and demonstrations

Ability to track, manage, and ensure projects tasks are completed in a timely manner

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Work Environment characteristics described here are representative of those that must be borne by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. 

Job is performed in an office setting with exposure to computer screens and requires extensive use of a computer, keyboard, mouse and multi-line telephone system. The work described herein is primarily a modern office setting. Occasional travel may be required.

ADDITIONAL QUALIFYING FACTORS

As a condition of employment, may be required to pass a pre-employment drug screening, as well as have acceptable reference and background check results to obtain access to military base. Must have reliable transportation to/from work a necessity and must be able to obtain access to military installations.
