Description
The Data and Reporting Analyst supports the success of Humana's Medicaid business by using workflow technology tools to achieve process excellence in our Medicaid markets. The Data and Reporting Analyst generates ad hoc reports and regular datasets for use within Humana's agile workflow tools. The Data and Reporting Analyst work assignments are varied and frequently require interpretation and independent determination of the appropriate courses of action. Humana Medicaid Business Intelligence is seeking someone for this role who is an inspired team player that demonstrates an agile mindset and is capable of thriving in an environment that motivates and builds talent.
Responsibilities
The Data and Reporting Analyst will work within the Medicaid Business Intelligence team and with internal and external partners to develop workflow tools aimed at improving quality, outcomes, cost of care, and provider experience.
Develops and manages operational dashboards, metrics, data generators, canned reports and other end-user information portals or resources
Captures, integrates, and analyzes data from multiple sources to produce requested or required data elements
Utilizes relational databases to build, maintain, and store datasets
Supports workflow applications in a low-code environment
Creates specifications for reports based on business requests
Makes decisions regarding technical approach for project components and exercises considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignments, occasionally in ambiguous situations
Supports the Medicaid markets through ad hoc requests

Required Qualifications
2 years of technical experience in data reporting, interpretation and/or analysis
1 years of experience in SQL Server Management Studio, MS Access, Oracle PL/SQL, or other data systems
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including ability to link pivots to external data sources, creating pivot tables and summarizing data into reports and dashboards
Experience working with big and complex data sets within large organizations and/or the analysis of healthcare data
Experience in developing, maintaining, and collecting structured and unstructured data sets for analysis and reporting
Ability to take ownership of multiple projects and deliverables simultaneously
Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively promote and install technical solutions to complex problems across a variety of business units in the organization.
Able to exercise independent judgment and decision making on complex issues and work under minimal supervision
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple or competing priorities
Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences
Preferred Qualifications
Experience building applications
in cloud-based low code development platforms such as Quickbase
, Microsoft PowerApps, or ServiceNow
1 year of experience in PowerBI, Tableau or other data visualization tools
Working knowledge of various coding languages such as SQL, Python, JavaScript, HTML, CSS
Experience creating automated reports and self-service tools
Previous Managed Care experience
Previous Medicaid Operations experience
Additional Information
Must be available to work Monday - Friday Business hours and adjust the work schedule due to business needs
