JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Tech Data & Analytics Project Manager will play a driving role in scoping, aligning, and ensuring efficient delivery of data and analytics project level initiatives, ongoing enhancements, as well as interfacing with other projects that require the Data & Analytics Team. This role demands highly effective communication across a range of stakeholders, both technical and business, and a strong inclination to process and organization.
The position reports to the Director of PMO, CoE.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
*Setting project goals and coming up with plans to meet those goals *Maintaining project timeframes, budgeting estimates and status reports *Managing resources for projects such as time needed from teams across functional areas, equipment needs, etc. *Serve as a business consultant and manage internal customer demands, proactively and by request *Coordinating project team members and developing schedules and individual responsibilities *Implementing IT strategies that deliver projects on schedule and within budget *Using project management tools (JIRA & Smartsheet) to track project performance and schedule adherence *Conducting risk assessments for projects *Organizing meetings to discuss project goals and progress *Advanced technology acumen with a focus on data and analytics *Project management and leadership skills for managing projects and the teams involved with them *Strong written and verbal communication skills to coordinate with team members and management and explain technical issues *Analytical and problem-solving skills to handle any issues that occur during project completion *Organization and time management skills to keep projects on track and within budget *Excellent resource planning and task scheduling skills *Create an environment of team spirit and enthusiasm around what is being delivered
QUALIFICATIONS
*Bachelor's degree in computer science, business, or a related field *5+ years of project management and related experience *Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred *Proven ability to solve problems creatively *Strong familiarity with project management software tools, methodologies, and best practices *Experience seeing projects through the full life cycle *Excellent analytical skills *Strong interpersonal skills and extremely resourceful
*Proven ability to complete projects according to outlined scope, budget, and timeline
