Description

The Lead Infrastructure Architect QA designs and develops IT infrastructure architecture solutions to business problems in alignment with the enterprise architecture direction and standards. The Infrastructure Architect work assignments involve setting up the standards for the QA infrastructure testing lab, maintaining the lab environment, setup a standard intake process for the development teams using the lab service, review dependencies (upstream/downstream), process the request, and automate the tasks. Liaison and partner with enterprise application QA teams and SRE teams to establish Infrastructure QA standards and processes.

Responsibilities

The role will be responsible for overall infrastructure labs quality assurance and engineering practices for medium to large Infrastructure programs (WWT LAB, Tech Lab and EUC lab). The candidate is expected to drive standards and practices in a complex technology and infrastructure landscape. The role is strategic in nature but requires good understanding of tactical and operational aspects of quality for Infrastructure delivery. Team management mentoring and development skills are essential.

Infrastructure architecture experience developing and maintaining test lab environments

Experience working in a CoE (responsible for establishing, standards, intake, best practices, governance, automation)

Vendor evaluation and relationship management

Experience working with budget (allocation, spend, optimization) and managing a team.

4 or more years of program leadership experience

Experience integrating new technologies with existing technologies.

Understand the larger business problem and the infrastructure solution

Build collaborative relationships and partnerships with stakeholders

Build long term quality strategy including infrastructure as software.

Assess maturity and build improvement roadmap

Drive quality initiatives for improving quality maturity for infrastructure group

Review, assess/develop and implement best practices aimed at improving quality

Be proficient with infrastructure specific QA activities, scope, types and levels of testing

Be able to identify program quality activity scope; and build and execute test plan independently as well as with a team

Have a good understanding of infrastructure as a service model

Have a good understanding of cloud concepts and how quality initiatives are different in a cloud environment

Possess knowledge and experience in various infrastructure tools and technologies including but not limited to:

Automation Tools - Anisbile, Ansible Tower, Terraform

Monitoring tools - Systrack, dynatrace, Splunk and thousand eyes, orion, stealth watch, Solarwinds or nornir

Infra Simulating tools - GNS3, IXIA, Shenick Diversified, iPerf, netPerf

Experience in managing and overseeing various aspects of infrastructure including, network, end user computing, storage, Databases, end user experience and cloud

Have experience in one or more of the following testing tools: JIRA, ALM, ADO, qTest

Have experience in delivering large infrastructure projects using Agile Scrum methodology

Understand the role of test automation in infrastructure testing and be able to quickly implement automation

Have solid understanding of metrics to implement and leverage metrics

Excellent communication, listening, organization skills. Experience in delivering strategic programs

Experience implementing technologies with enterprise-wide impact

Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences.

Education:

Master's degree with 8 years of relevant experience OR

Bachelor's degree with 10 years of relevant experience'

Certifications:

Network Engineering related and/or

PMP, SAFe, Agile.
