Description
The Network Administrator provides technical expertise in the management of a public and/or private network; tests and analyzes network facilities, including network control software, routers, switches, lines, modems, adapters and servers. The Network Administrator work assignments involve moderately complex to complex issues where the analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors. The Network Administrator will also collect and report on current health of the network, identify problem areas, and help ensure the network is in compliance with Humana's policies.
Responsibilities
Analyzing and monitoring network performance.
Providing L3 network support and resolving issues.
Configuring hardware and software to optimize network communication.
Configure / Deploy / Maintain tools for monitoring and managing network devices.
Performing system administration tasks and ensuring network security.
Documenting processes and monitoring network performance metrics.
Consulting with internal departments and training IT support staff.
Keeping up with advancements in network technologies and solutions.
Advance knowledge in CISCO Fabric / Switching / Routing.
Strong wireless administration experience.
Ability to update and modify MS Visio diagrams
Strong communication skill and experience working with all levels of management.
Ability to create and give presentations to executives and coworkers.
Enjoys creating and providing education to others.
Nice to have experience:
Experience with Thousand Eyes and Stealth Watch
Experience with LiveAction
Experience with Solarwinds
Power BI or Tabluea experience
Strong Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Powerpoint
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree
5 or more years experience in Network Administration
Experience providing technical expertise in the management of a public and/or private network
Experienced testing and analyzes network facilities, including network control software, routers, switches, lines, modems, adapters and servers
Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences
Must be able to obtain Government Clearance
Must be USA Citizen
Preferred Qualifications
Master's Degree in a Technical Field
Networking related Certification
