Job Description
Core Responsibilities:
Writing high quality production-ready application code.
Pairing and collaborating with peers.
Writing appropriate levels of documentation, API specifications.
Participating in joint design and architecture sessions with Network engineering team
Be part of our Agile development team and participate in bi-weekly sprints
Ensuring high security posture across the solutions footprint and adhere to Comcast Business security best practices
Ensuring timely remediation's for keeping the platforms& apps secured.
Operating and supporting production environments (including on-call support).
Participating in software release and deployment activities.
Coordinating constructively with other team members and external teams.
What You'll Bring:
5 years of relevant work experience, including extensive programming experience and mentoring skills.
Network monitoring expertise is a plus with good understanding of SNMPv3 protocol.
Experience with Python/Angular is most likely to be helpful to the team.
Knowledge of Database querying (SQL) is a plus.
Ability to navigate to custom and machine logs to triage and drive issues resolution will be very helpful in this role.
UNIX/Linux background: facility with command command-line utilities; familiarity with system administration tools and concepts a plus.
Experience maintaining service-oriented architectures and an understanding of design for scalability, performance, and reliability.
Experience with high-scale, distributed web service development (hands-on experience with RESTful/web services).
What You'll do:
Be a member of a 24x7 on-call rotation to resolve service impairments, working with operations teams as a critical issue point
Actively work to prevent incidents
Manage services with Ansible automation and custom UI
Develop tools and utilities to streamline work and improve resiliency
Run monitoring and telemetry tools
Participate in incident postmortems
Assist in capacity management activities
Document operational procedures and processes
