Humana's HealthCare Services PMO is looking for you! In this role you will partner with CenterWell Pharmacy's Specialty, Retail and Home Delivery segments, having direct responsibility for a PMO team that plans, coordinates and directs the delivery of best in class solutions that make the healthcare experience simpler and better to help people achieve their best health.
Responsibilities
The IT Project Management Lead serves as a Senior Program Manager and provides direct and indirect leadership to execute project and product delivery solutions of a complex nature. In this role, the IT Project Management Lead directs a team of IT Project Managers whose facilitation and leadership skills help project and product teams execute their objectives to deliver business value. This role works on problems of diverse scope and complexity ranging from moderate to substantial.
Areas of Leadership Responsibility Include:
Providing Leadership that advances the goals and strategy of the Centerwell Pharmacy segment: The ideal candidate exercises independent judgement and decision making on complex issues to determine the best course of action. They partner effectively with IT delivery and Business stakeholders to deepen relationships and engagement, aid in the removal of barriers, promote acceleration of delivery, and build trust and familiarity with assigned staff and aligned partners.
Effectively Manages Assigned Programs: Oversees the delivery of projects, products, value streams, and other strategic initiatives for assigned programs. The ideal candidate demonstrates ownership and commitment to excellence, creates strong engagement with stakeholders, helps project teams to remove blockers, clarifies and addresses interdependencies within or across projects and programs, implements program level meeting management/governance/facilitation and structure, and based on varying workstyles administers program controls that address the processes and procedures needed to effectively manage the program.
Managing Project Manager Assignments: The IT Project Management Lead will understand the skills and strengths of the team and assign resources to work that matches their strengths and the needs of the stakeholders. This includes staffing and hiring decisions and ensuring the team is properly structured to support the workload and workstyles (i.e., Traditional versus Agile).
Develop and Manage Staff: As a leader at Humana the candidate grows talent and strengthens key capabilities in the organization to prepare Humana for rapid change and sustainability, promotes an inclusive and engaging environment, coaches associate to help them realize career aspirations, and supports the team in delivering outstanding results for customers and stakeholders.
Managing Program Financials: Routinely audit and review project and program financials, report on the program budget, and work with project managers, portfolio leads, and IT and Business stakeholders to address variances and gaps in plans and allocations.
Candidates will have the ability to learn the business, understand department, segment, and organizational strategy and operating objectives, including their linkages to related areas. Makes decisions regarding own work methods, occasionally in ambiguous situations, and requires minimal direction and receives guidance where needed. Follows established guidelines/procedures.
Required Qualifications
Ability to make decisions regarding own work methods, occasionally in ambiguous situations, with minimal direction.
Solid understanding of software development life cycle models as well as expert knowledge of both Agile and traditional project management principles and practices
Prior experience with SAFe/Agile methodologies with enterprise-level application development projects.
Experience overseeing multi-function project teams with at least 10-15 team members.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and 5 years of program leadership experience or equivalent experience
Outstanding leadership and organizational skills
Excellent problem-solving ability
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
2 yrs experience being a people leader
Preferred Qualifications
Project Management Institute certification (PMP)
Six Sigma Certification
SAFe Agilist (SA), SAFe Release Train Engineer (RTE) or SAFe Program Consultant (SPC) certification
Experience in the health solutions industry
Familiarity with project, program, and agile tools
ServiceNow, Azure DevOps, Jira Align, Miro, qTest
Additional information:
Humana and its subsidiaries require vaccinated associates who work outside of their home to submit proof of vaccination, including COVID-19 boosters. Work-At-Home Requirements
WAH requirements: Must have the ability to provide a high speed DSL or cable modem for a home office. Associates or contractors who live and work from home in the state of California will be provided payment for their internet expense.
