CVS Health is looking for a hands-on, passionate, and driven Full-Stack Software Engineer with React, Python, and Cloud experience who want to join forces with a high impact team making a difference in customers' lives by reinventing how they connect with the most qualified healthcare providers in their area.

Responsibilities

• Build moderately complex user interfaces from scratch in React following wireframes.

• Design and own the front-end architecture of a React application.

• Design and implement a RESTful API layer in Java/Python.

• Containerize and deploy the API layer onto Google Cloud using GKE.

As part of Analytics & Behavior Change, you will be embedded in a data engineering team. You will support analytical consultants and data scientists who are designing and developing applications/pipelines for CVS Health across various business lines. Your primary focus will be on the front-end and API layer, but being comfortable in the backend, especially in a big-data context, will serve you well. You will brainstorm with product owners, consultants, data scientists and fellow engineers to build products used to improve the health outcomes of millions of people.

You will be working as a member of one of our scrum teams in a hybrid role in one of the CVS Health or Aetna offices around the country. (2 days per week onsite in NYC; Hartford, CT or Irving, TX).

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

Minimum: 70,000

Maximum: 140,000

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.

Required Qualifications

• 3 years of software development in enterprise/web/cloud applications

• 3 years of experience with React JS

• 3 years of experience with HTML5/CSS and JavaScript

• 3 years of experience with JavaScript libraries such as JQuery and Bootstrap

• 2 years of experience with Python

• 2 years of experience

Preferred Qualifications

• 2 years of experience with Google Cloud Platform preferably, but alternatively Azure or AWS.

• 2 years of experience with build automation technologies like Maven, Jenkins, etc.

• 2 years of experience with Scrum/Agile development methodologies.

• 2 years of experience with Flask, FastAPI, or similar API frameworks.

• 1 years of exposure to data engineering, analytics engineering, or machine learning.

• 1 years of exposure to non-relational datastores like BigQuery.

• Capable of delivering on multiple competing priorities with little supervision.

• Excellent verbal and written communication and collaboration skills.

• Knowledge of UI design tools such as Figma would be helpful.

Education

Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in Computer Science, Engineering, Machine Learning, or related discipline

Master's degree or PhD preferred
