IT Portfolio Governance and Administration - Commercialization

The Portfolio Governance Lead is a senior leadership position responsible for facilitating and overseeing the investment of business aligned technology initiatives aligned to Commercialization Area. This role is highly collaborative and will be responsible for building, and managing key relationships in a matrix organization team.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead strategic planning, positioning and performance of the existing portfolio of assets for Commercialization

Provide strategic recommendations to optimize investment performance and alignment

Collaborate with Project Management and Finance on underwriting and transactional execution of the investments.

Responsible for the design, execution and ongoing oversight of relationship strategy to ensure optimal Business Partner and Digital Capability Manager engagement

Responsible for development and annual and quarterly reporting at each business unit level with value realization and cross-functional alignment opportunities.

Responsible for development and support of annual and quarterly reporting of value generated from past project investments and align up to digital capability investments functional roadmaps and aligning back up to the company strategy

Identifying and managing risks and opportunities within the current portfolio of budgeted and in-flight investments to balance and enhance the company and IT strategy.

Provide feedback and conduct learning sessions on how investments perform over time and consistently seek opportunities to learn and improve.

Build effective coalitions with key stakeholders at various levels in a matrixed environment, leading to better alignment and faster business value delivery

Maintain adequate domain knowledge of the business strategies to ensure maximum value realization.

Provide support to IT Leadership in program operations including budgeting/forecasting, financial reconciliation, vendor management, and procurement.

Engage and energize the program teams to ensure optimal performance and proactively remove obstacles to drive project/program momentum and progress. Provide a point of escalation for all constituents of the portfolio.

Meet financial objectives by forecasting requirements; contribute to the preparation of the portfolio budget

Contribute to the overall maturity and consistency of the PMO organization by serving as an SME on leadership, investment management, financial literacy , risk identification/mitigation, etc.

Interact with other Portfolio Governance Lead to ensure consistent processes and high-quality reporting.

Key Competencies:

Clear understanding of the Sales and Marketing application landscape including but not limited to Veeva platform (CRM, Vault, Events), Model-N application suite, and an understanding of website development process.

A Bachelor's or Master's degree required, in field of Information Technology or Finance preferred or similar discipline

5 years' experience in a pharmaceutical or biotech based company or academic center including multiple years in a project management and functional knowledge in

Strong experience in connecting business strategy to relevant technology investments and projects.

Strong experience with investments/projects financial and outcome measurement for IT initiatives which include benefit estimation and post implementation metrics.

Financial experience with budget management and business case development.

Demonstrated ability to lead and influence without direct authority, managing stakeholder expectations at all levels in a matrixed global environment while maximizing business value delivered

Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate and collaborate with employees and management at all levels through various formats, such as presentations, written proposals, reports, correspondence, leading meetings, face-to-face dialogue etc.

Strong facilitation and meeting management skills;

Self-motivated with demonstrated personal integrity, judgement and professional maturity and ability to collaborate

Demonstrated ability to use structured problem solving and available tools to quickly evaluate problems, identify root causes, create action plans, assess impact and develop resolution options
