Humana is rapidly evolving from an insurance company with elements of health to a healthcare company with elements of insurance. We are embarking on an ambitious journey to implement a new Member Administration Platform and further our evolution towards a customer-centric operating model. As a member of the Member Administration Platform team you will help us transform our enrollment process and ensure the highest level of care for our customers. This team will have a large focus on technology modernization but also a focus on culture and operations - to embrace modern cloud-based technologies and engineering, agile ways of working & Agile methodologies, DevOps, and a culture that is focused on enterprise leadership, our customers and our associates.

The Lead Full Stack Engineer Performs software engineering activities in all layers of the stack, from setting up the database to programming in the back-end and the appearance at the front-end. The Lead Full Stack Engineer works on problems of diverse scope and complexity ranging from moderate to substantial.

Responsibilities

The Lead Full Stack Engineer Is involved in all stages of software development, including front-end development, back-end development, database integrations, network and hosting management, user interface, user experience, and back-end server management. Advises executives to develop functional strategies (often segment specific) on matters of significance. Exercises independent judgment and decision making on complex issues regarding job duties and related tasks, and works under minimal supervision, Uses independent judgment requiring analysis of variable factors and determining the best course of action.

Tech stack will require the use of Oracle DB, Oracle Integration, micro services, Cloud computing, Oracle Health Insurance administration engine, JavaScript, Kafka, Terraform, Streamsets, APIC, Node JS, Kubernetes, Groovy/Python. In addition to these duties associate will be required to support and enhance user interfaces developed for our business users to support monitoring and reviewing outbound communications. Finally, the applicant will be expected to support occasional after hours support in support of our systems.

Provide development and ongoing software support and issue resolution

Build a standards-driven, scalable, secure and dynamic portal for the information delivery of specific based applications

Partner with other business areas within Humana to understand application requirements and develop programming specifications for development staff

Develop enhancements, resolve issues, coordinate testing of statement releases and oversee regular production efforts including DevOps activities.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science in MIS / Computer Science, technical area preferred or experience equivalent

Eight years of experience designing, developing, and testing of software applications and/or infrastructure

Proven experience in Oracle OHI

Understanding of agile and agile design patterns

Application development experience following various coding standards

Understanding of code review process and standards

Cloud experience
