Computer Support Specialist III
to serve as the technical lead/senior position within the Admissions department (specifically for Banner SIS and Slate CRM) in close collaboration with IT. The employee assigned to this role will serve as the Undergraduate Admissions lead on implementation and integration of third-party software, which includes documenting, testing, troubleshooting and training end users.

The employee in this position will be the primary technical lead for all systems and processes involving transfer course articulation and evaluation, including the following responsibilities:
Responsible for determining and authorizing access to TES and Transferology. Maintain and ensure TES data integrity, and security for admissions evaluations and transfer credit articulation through a variety of processes.
Manage secure data transfer between systems
Serve as campus expert on Transfer Articulation modules within Banner SIS and TES/Transferology
The person assigned to this position will also support the Undergraduate Admissions liaison for SIS - Banner, including the following responsibilities:
Serves as a Banner Admissions Module Technical Representative focusing on planned upgrades, scheduled downtime and admissions security data steward
Responsible for determining and authorizing access to Banner Enrollment Services. Maintain and ensure Banner data integrity and security for admissions evaluations and transfer credit articulation through a variety of processes.
Work with programmers and analysts at EIS JIRA to coordinate testing, diagnose problems and recommend solutions
Database edits for census reporting
Identify and mark duplicate 790s in Banner
Admissions representative of MOD Squad (Banner coordination team)
Responsible for data integrity of Banner and Slate data for Admissions & transfer credit both incoming from Slate, and outgoing for reporting purposes, such as census reporting
Responsible for the configuration and administration of various third-party systems in support of Admissions and Transfer Credit evaluations for Admissions related systems including, but not limited to, Parchment Exchange, State of Montana File Transfer, NSC, testing services such as ACT, SAT, AP and English proficiency, and other state & federal systems
The employee in this position will closely collaborate on implementation, integration and maintenance of Slate CRM, which includes the following essential duties:
Serve as member of Slate team with IT
Coordinate work with the Slate CRM Technical lead, including configuring, testing, and monitoring the integration
Support the Admissions staff with data requests and data troubleshooting between Slate and Banner
Work closely with the Assistant Director of Enrollment Marketing on technical aspects of Slate communications, on set up and deployment of communications to support application processing and evaluations, and on annual audit of and routine updates to the Admissions web pages
The individual assigned to this role will also serve as site administrator and data manager to receive records, transcripts and test scores and to monitor external feeds of these data types to Slate. The person in this position must run import and export processes in all systems, edit large data sets to ensure accuracy and bridge information for CRM to SIS and between TES and SIS.
The person in the position will also support the Assistant Director of Admissions Evaluations with creating and updating Admissions systems training documentation.

Demonstrated knowledge of professional office practices and procedures, business English, spelling, composition, and grammar, including exceptional writing and editing skills.
Demonstrated skill and ability to operate standard office equipment: printers, copiers, fax machine, multi-line telephone system.
Minimum Required Experience
Bachelor’s degree in a closely related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Banner
Experience with a CRM, preferably Slate
Experience with TES and Transferology and/or with transfer evaluation and course articulation
Familiar with the University of Montana and the admission process
Familiar with Higher Education policies and procedures
