Lead Database Administrator, Open Systems - Remote

Description
The Lead Database Administrator manages and maintains all production and non-production databases. Responsible for standards and design of physical data storage, maintenance, access and security administration. The Lead, Database Administrator works on problems of diverse scope and complexity ranging from moderate to substantial.
Responsibilities
The Lead Database Administrator performs backup and recovery on Database Management Systems, configures database parameters, and prototype designs against logical data models, defines data repository requirements, data dictionaries and warehousing requirements. This position optimizes database access and allocates/re-allocates database resources for optimum configuration, database performance and cost. Supports multiple services and multiple databases of medium to high complexity (complexity defined by database size, technology used, systems feeds and interfaces) with multiple concurrent users, ensuring control, integrity and accessibility of data. This role advises executives to develop functional strategies (often segment specific) on matters of significance.
The Lead will support multiple database technologies both On-Prem and in the Cloud.
Responsibilities Include:
Directly responsible to cross-functional senior leadership to drive adoption of technology and processes
Manage a team of high performing individual contributors, focusing on project oversight and problem resolution while removing barriers
Build strong partnerships with Humana Development and Site Reliability Engineering teams as well as with database vendors
Drive problem definition and resolution on bridge calls with multiple IT and business partners
Direct the implementation of newer technologies to provide for more stable environments
Support critical business processes including financial close, wellness programs, claims, enrollment, etc.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
8 or more years of technical experience
2 or more years of project leadership experience
Experience integrating new technologies with existing technologies
Experience implementing technologies with enterprise-wide impact
3 years of experience in architecting and Implementing GCP(DW, Bigtable) Cosmos, ADF, Synapse, Data bricks
5-8 years of experience in architecting and Implementing Warehouse solutions
Good Coding Skills (T-SQL, PowerShell, .Net)
Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences
Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with Agile methodologies
Healthcare industry experience
One or more of the following: CISA, CISM, CRISC, CISSP
PMP certification
Six Sigma Certification
