What you'll be doing:
In this role as an Engineering Manager, you will lead a team of engineers, located in Prague, Czech Republic. You will focus on driving and shaping the direction in enabling our product engineers to deliver high-quality software to our customers. You will lead a team of capable engineers to build automated test platforms and infrastructure to accelerate our innovation for our customers. You will provide technical direction, mentoring to engineers on your team, and others to achieve successful project outcomes. The successful candidate must understand the dynamics of global R&D and possess deep knowledge of local culture while at the same time have the ability to adapt to Pure values and leadership attributes. This role requires the ability to lead and influence multiple stakeholders across cross-functional teams.
What you would bring to the team
5 years of technical management experience while staying hands-on
7 years of hands-on software development experience with the focus on test automation (Python), CI/CD, and working knowledge of SRE, and infrastructure (Compute, Storage, Network)
Experience in building and manage a team with senior engineers
Proven expertise in managing projects throughout the entire SDLC, delivering products to market on schedule, and ensuring feedback loops from customers into the development
Ability to successfully manage multiple projects simultaneously
Strong customer focus
Solid knowledge of end-to-end quality best practices
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Patient, energetic, and calm under pressure
