Description
The Senior IT Project Manager oversees the delivery of various technical projects of a highly complex nature in Enterprise Information Protection (EIP). We are seeking a candidate who will be a part of EIP's Identity & Access Management program. In this role, he/she will lead the implementation of modern authentication and authorization capabilities for Humana.
The senior IT project manage will provide project management planning, direction, and oversight of information technology project implementations of diverse scope and complexity. He/She will lead and facilitate planning and help project and product teams execute on their objectives leveraging a deep project management foundation coupled with Agile behaviors and mindset. The role is an independent leader who works with minimal direction to guide the project teams. The role builds strong intrapersonal relationships with peers, leaders, and stakeholders and is viewed as a trusted partner who understands and advocates their desired outcomes and objectives.
Responsibilities
Assembles and leads project teams, identifies the appropriate resources needed for project execution, and develops schedules to ensure timely completion of projects, while controlling for project cost, quality, schedule, and scope.
Partner with product manager in managing customer expectations for project deliverables, managing stakeholder communications, and helping to identify dependencies to help remove impediments for the team to deliver value
Demonstrates understanding of the business value of the project and its broader impact on programs, initiatives, and the enterprise
Actively manages stakeholder partnerships and mitigates risks
May contribute and/or is familiar with defining the project's scope and objectives of the desired outcomes, as well as the role and function of each team member, to effectively coordinate the activities of the team.
Oversees the interdependencies and integration of interrelated projects.
Possess specialized knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) frameworks used to manage risks and issues unique to technology projects
Exercises considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignments.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or higher in relevant information technology field (Information Technology, Information Systems Management, Computer Science, etc.)
5 or more years of technical experience
Ability to exercise independent judgment and decision making on complex issues regarding job duties and related tasks.
Ability to work under minimal supervision and uses independent judgment to analyze variable factors and determine the best course of action.
Ability to make decisions regarding own work methods, occasionally in ambiguous situations, and requires minimal direction and receives guidance where needed.
Solid understanding of software development life cycle models as well as expert knowledge of both Agile and traditional project management principles and practices and the ability to blend them together in the right proportions to fit a project and business environment.
Experience with Agile/Kanban project management methodology
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
Project Management Institute certification
Six Sigma certification
Familiarity with project, program, and agile tools, such as ServiceNow, Azure DevOps, Jira Align, Miro, PlanView/Leankit
Demonstrated experience in technical product selection, technical design and practical implementation of IT solutions
Experience in the health solutions industry
Additional Information
Humana and its subsidiaries require vaccinated associates who work outside of their home to submit proof of vaccination, including COVID-19 boosters.
