We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our Social Experiences team as a Software Development Manager. You will build a team of experienced Software Development experts that is responsible for the strategic solution development for integrating social networks brand-specific conversations into LiveEngage platform for further servicing and monitoring. This role provides an opportunity to join a fast-growing organization and shape the future of LivePerson. You will help us attain the vision of making life easier by transforming how people communicate with brands.
You should be an expert in:
Designing and building complex web applications and components as well as distributed systems comprises a microservices architecture.
Building, growing and leading a team of high performance software engineers
Collecting requirements from internal and external stakeholders and breaking it down into concrete development tasks for Software Engineers.
In this role you will:
Have the opportunity to fundamentally change the dynamics of the digital industry and reach over 2 billion consumers.
Lead and build your own team of software development engineers.
Define detailed technical requirements based on a high-level description.
Provide hands on technical leadership to the team, including your own code contributions, design reviews, and prioritization.
Collaborate with development teams based in Mannheim, Seattle and Atlanta to shape the solution design of LivePerson’s new conversational discovery solution.
Manage team priorities, headcount projections, recruiting and continuous performance evaluations.
Your qualifications are:
Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
3 years professional experience in front end development of large scale/large impact systems, including experience architecting the systems from scratch.
3 years experience in leading teams following Agile methods, with teams of 2-6 developers.
Strong track record in designing systems for scalability, performance and reliability.
Strong background in Javascript / Typescript / NodeJS
Proficiency in at least one of the following frameworks: React, Vue, Angular.
Familiarity with microservice supporting technologies, such as: Docker, Kubernetes.
