Description

In this role, you will have the opportunity to lead a variety of enterprise-wide strategic initiatives including launching new products and services, large-scale application development, system integrations, and implementation of On-Prem and Cloud SaaS vendor solutions.

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Associate Director of a large Enterprise PMO, you will get to lead a large multi-million dollar program as well as an Agile Transformation of all projects and resources within the program. Maintaining efficient and effective project delivery while ensuring good process and best practices are followed by all will be key to success in this position. This position also includes resource management responsibilities of approximately 4 - 8 project managers.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background managing large, complex, cross functional enterprise programs in a traditional program structure as well as solid Agile andor SAFe Release Train Engineer (RTE STE) experience.

Responsibilities:


Single accountable party for defining, planning, orchestrating, and delivering a given strategic initiative.
Ensures end results are of the highest caliber with a clearly articulated scope and quantifiable business benefit.
Directs large-scale, complex programs often involving multiple internal and external constituents and matrix partners.
Accountable for one or more initiatives including business, operational, and IT deliverables.
Has direct oversight over all aspects of the program life cycle and works with matrix IT partners to oversee all SDLC phases of its components projects.
Rigorously manages program scope to ensure commitments are achieved within agreed upon time, cost, and quality parameters.
Validates financial forecasts and provides on-going reconciliation of resources and other related project expenditures.
Develops communication plans and interfaces with sponsors and stakeholders to execute on responsibilities
Serves as the program Subject Matter Expert and routinely briefs key stakeholders on different aspects of assigned initiatives.
Chairs weekly Core Team and monthly Steering Committee meetings to review progress with key constituents.
Defines and tracks program milestones while developing, maintaining, and reporting on an overall integrated delivery plan.
Develops the program governance structure including integrated program plan, resource plan, communication plan, contingency plan, and other related program artifacts.
Understands and champions the value proposition of the program.
Achieves business objectives by focusing on the delivery of outcomes and key results
Publishes periodic program status reports.
Provide resource management leadership to direct reports and all project team members that grows talent and strengthens key capabilities by advancing an inclusive and engaging environment.


Required Qualifications:


Multiple years of extensive program management experience leading programs consisting of a large number of software development projects, that were large, complex, enterprise wide initiatives.
Experience establishing governance and communication structures for new programs
Proven ability to quickly earn the trust of sponsors and key stakeholders; mobilize and motivate teams; set direction and approach; resolve conflict; deliver tough messages with grace; execute with limited information and ambiguity.
Ability to navigate a highly matrixed organization effectively.
Sound business and technical acumen.
Focused and versatile team player that is comfortable under pressure.
Ability to communicate at all levels with clarity and precision; both written and verbal
Strong presentation skills
Ability to remove barriers and enable teams to complete objectives.
Excellent problem solving and critical-thinking skills.
Exemplary core project management skills including all aspects of the PMBOK
Extensive knowledge and experience with multiple SDLC frameworks including Waterfall, Agile, and hybrid frameworks.


Preferred Qualifications:


Bachelor's degree
PMP Certification
Agile experience and training certifications
SAFe certification
Release Train Engineer (RTE) experience
Healthcare experience
Resource management experience
