Our client based in Leeds is looking to fill two new developer roles at mid and senior level on a full time basis. They have adopted a hybrid style of working with 1-2 days per week in the office. Systems Developer and Senior Systems Developer
Salary: Mid-level 38k/Sr developer 44k
To develop quality software and systems to current standards, within agreed timescales, as directed by the Society's business requirements. To carry out on the job training where necessary and assist with the generation of morale and motivation within the department. Skills & Experience:
Expected to have at least one of the following skills:
VB 6
C#.NET
VB.NET
ASP.NET
Java
WCF
PL/SQL
API Gateway
Testing
Strong analytical skills
Experience in Financial Services desirable
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently and to defined deadlines
Should be familiar with:
Microsoft Office products
Full Development Lifecycle
Agile development methodologies

Key Accountability's:
Systems design and specification.
To produce technical specifications.
To produce, test and document program code within agreed time-scales
and to documented standards.
To maintain in-house software.
To assist with or support system testing.
To provide support during user acceptance testing.
To participate in the use and development of departmental procedures.
To provide support and guidance for junior systems developers and
peers.
To participate in peer reviews of solution designs and related code
Analysing and resolving technical and application problems
To improve knowledge of the Society's business and operation in all
business areas.
To provide out-of-hours support.
To maintain awareness and understanding of appropriate development
tools and techniques.
To adhere to all relevant regulatory rules and guidance applicable to the role.
To maintain required standards of the Conduct Rules at all times in
accordance with prevailing regulatory requirements.
To maintain full awareness of and conformance to the Risk Management
Framework including but not limited to the Information Security and Data
Governance supporting frameworks.
