Position Summary

The Lead, Developer will be the technical expert who is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining Under Armour’s Master Data Management (MDM) platform. The Lead, Developer will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and consistency of master data across the organization, as well as the efficient use of that data. We are seeking an experienced .NET Lead Developer with a focus on back-end development and integration to lead our team in the enhancement, maintenance, and support of the platform.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities


Project Execution: Create project execution plans, write code, conduct reviews, create documentation, run builds, and any other task related to providing technical leadership for project delivery
Project Planning and Management: Participate in strategic road mapping exercises for the MDM platform
Run Support: Provide advanced production support in situations requiring escalation over L1/L2 and UA solutions analyst teams
Process Improvement: Proactively identify gaps and opportunities to improve existing functionality. Lead design process, and then either drive delivery process directly, or transition to support analyst teams to drive completion of delivery
Communication: A lead developer must have excellent communication skills, both with team members and other stakeholders. This involves communicating project status, technical requirements, and deadlines to team members, and presenting technical information in a clear and understandable way to non-technical stakeholders.
Industry Expertise: Desire to stay current with industry trends, from both functional and technical perspective to ensure that the MDM platform is kept up to date


Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities)


Deep knowledge / experience in .NET back-end development with C# and SQL
Experience with Entity Framework or similar object-relationship mapping frameworks
Experience building and managing RESTful APIs
Experience with Azure DevOps pipelines for build and release management is desired, but experience with similar CI/CD tools is acceptable
Demonstrated ability to manage code contributions from a team of developers, including conducting code reviews and managing pull requests
Front-end development experience, specifically in React, is highly desirable but not required
Familiarity with Control-M or similar scheduling tool is desirable but not required
Ability to highlight/identify gaps in existing functionality and frame this problem in Technology terms
Excellent problem-solving skills – able to identify, analyze and propose solutions to various consumer, technical and business issues
Exceptional team player with excellent interpersonal skills


Education And / Or Experience


BS in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related discipline
7 years of progressive experience in software development
Apparel / Retail industry experience desired but not required.
2 years of technical leadership. This can be as a senior member of a technical team, or as a manager of technical resources
Experience with Profisee MDM or a similar Master Data Management platform is desirable but not required

Salary and Relocation

Base compensation range: $110,000 - $152,000
