Description

The Senior Data Product Owner will work within the EOE Business Intelligence team. EOE Business Intelligence is an Enterprise Shared Services team focused on data, reporting and data science supporting Humana's Service Operations. The team is focused on converting data to actionable insights for our business partners who can utilize the same, to reduce administrative cost and improve the customer's experience.

Responsibilities

The Senior Data Product Owner delivers new data solutions to meet business needs within a specified scope, while aligned to enterprise objectives. The Senior Data Product Owner coordinates with business areas, IT and other product owners on the agile release trains to ensure all aspects of data needs meet requirements, scope and vision. In this role, you will work closely with the Product Manager as epics and features are created to develop the product backlog and the roadmap.

The Senior Data Product Owner will work as a liaison and manage data products between IT and the various retail groups.

The ideal candidate will:


Translate the business needs to technical requirements
Consults in feature and epic development
Defines user stories and acceptance criteria
Oversee all aspects of projects including conception, documentation, budgeting and reporting
Work directly with engineering team to refine and prioritize stories for development
Be the key communicator of product decisions and business objectives to the product team
Accept tories through post-production validation
Model and encourage Agile behaviors within the team
Identify opportunities for process improvements
Have experience in performing in-depth data analysis to derive insights that drives business outcomes and decisions.
Exhibit strong written and verbal communication skills
Be an innovative thinker with an innate curiosity around data
Be self-motivated and possess the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines


Required Qualifications


Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Health Information Systems or a related technical field OR 5 years of experience as a Product Owner
Knowledge of Systems Development Life Cycle, Waterfall, and Agile Development Methodologies
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Office Programs Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access and Visio
2 or more years of project leadership experience
Ability to communicate effectively and deliver presentations to senior leaders
Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences


Preferred Qualifications


Advanced Degree in a quantitative discipline, such as Mathematics, Economics, Finance, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering or related field
SAFe Agile PMPO certification
Working knowledge of ADO and Jira Align a plus
Previous experience with call centers
Knowledge of the healthcare insurance industry
Six sigma certification
Previous experience with Genesys or other consumer experience equivalent platforms a plus
Azure certifications a plus
Experience producing metrics, measurements and trend reports
Experience in problem analysis and process
Knowledge of Snowflake or other cloud platforms a plus


Vaccine Policy:

Humana and its subsidiaries require vaccinated associates who work outside of their home to submit proof of vaccination, including COVID-19 boosters. Associates who remain unvaccinated must either undergo weekly negative COVID testing OR wear a mask at all times while in a Humana facility or while working in the field.

Work-At-Home Requirements:


WAH requirements: Must have the ability to provide a high speed DSL or cable modem for a home office. Associates or contractors who live and work from home in the state of California will be provided payment for their internet expense.
A minimum standard speed for optimal performance of 25x10 (25mpbs download x 10mpbs upload) is required.
Satellite and Wireless Internet service is NOT allowed for this role.
A dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information
