Information Technology Project Manager Jobs description
An Information Technology project manager supervises internal programmers, analysts, consultants, non-technical business resources and external vendor resources, recommends designs and oversees development of application solutions. The responsibilities of an Information Technology project manager consist of supervising internal programmers, analysts, consultants, non-technical business resources and external vendor resources, performing business design and analysis, internal consulting, application testing, and application design reviews, creating detailed project plans and ensuring that systems are codes or purchased in compliance with specified requirements. He/she should ensure that the information technology team follows the information standards, policies and procedures. An Information Technology project manager should be well aware of the current and upcoming trends in this domain and should analyze the new and existing technology to meet the company’s requirements and should develop new tools, applications and technologies to solve technology related problems.This position demands experience and dexterity in UNIX and Windows operating system, Visual Basic, PL-SQL, Java, Microstrategy, PeopleSoft application suite, Microsoft Project, Cognos, JDA applications suite, data warehousing experience, risk identification and management as well as very good leadership, project management and communication skills.
