Job Description:
The School of Technology & Computing (STC) is seeking two creative part-time Program Managers for B.S. and M.S. degree in Cybersecurity. If you seek an opportunity to transform higher education through online technology-fueled innovation for lifelong learners, this is the job for you.
Job Summary:
Program Managers, ranked as assistant professors, report to the Program Director and/or the Dean. Program Managers are accountable for a quality student experience by providing visionary leadership and management to ensure the success of the designated academic program(s), including curriculum development, program improvement, assessment, and technology integration. Program Managers lead and manage teaching faculty/staff, foster student development, and actively engage in academic governance.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Leads courses within the current degree program.
Plans, organizes, directs, staffs, and monitors operations of designated programs, including curriculum assessment, review, and development across all relevant locations. Maintains program currency and leads the effort enhance student learning experience.
Teaches 1.5 courses a year or the equivalent, within compensation, to ensure program quality and enhanced student learning experience. Models excellence in teaching and learning and fosters student development.
Oversees and monitors the performance of teaching faculty to ensure program quality. Assists with hiring, developing, evaluating, and managing expectations of faculty and/or staff. Provides practical orientation, training, mentoring, and coaching for faculty and/or staff to foster a respectful, empowering learning environment. Works with appropriate offices to ensure timely faculty nominations to courses.
Ensures that the program curriculum aligns with the CityU Academic Model and focuses on the application and current practice. Provides oversight for program and course quality. Assigns course ownership as appropriate for ongoing curriculum relevancy. Ensures alignment of the program with accreditation and NSA designation standards for upcoming designation/re-designation in 2024.
Oversees and advocates for student learning and engagement. Responsible for retention and graduation/completion rates of students in the program and the development of proactive interventions to assist at-risk students.
Participates in STC staff meetings and The Center for Cybersecurity Innovation events and meetings.
Participates in and promotes professional communities in areas of expertise.
Continues to support applied research and publish articles on technology and computing.
Leads cybersecurity-related grant project administration. Participate, prepare, and submit grant proposals related to training, workforce development, and research.
Supports professional career assessment and development.
Manages industry technology & computing-related certification/badge programs.
Supports the cybersecurity club, assists in club activities and competitions to serve the STC cybersecurity adult learners and STC alumni community.
Participates in the Center for Cybersecurity Innovation Board of Advisors Identify.

Minimum Qualifications:

Eligible to work in the USA.
Degrees from an accredited university in Information Technology or Cybersecurity with at least ten years of experience in industry.
Proven evidence in research, creative activities, and developing internal/external funding sources.
Ability to address student academic-related issues and concerns in support of retention and student success.
Demonstrated experience leading and managing in a creative, innovative, virtual, and digital environment.
Ability to present a professional image on behalf of the STC and CityU as appropriate.
Demonstrated awareness and sensitivity to diverse students, faculty, staff, and external communities.
A genuine understanding of the practitioner-faculty model and the importance of providing students with the highest quality educational experience in technology and computing.
Desired Qualifications:
Undergraduate and master's degrees in STEM fields.
Doctoral Degree from an accredited university in computing or related fields, such as Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Data Science, Information Systems, & Information Technology.
2-3 years of proven experience in CS or IT-related research projects.
Experiences in new program and course development
At least one relevant certifications.
At least one publication within three years

Salary Information:
This is a 15 hours/week position. Annual salary is $30,000.
